Sydney & Cory's Fall Farm Engagement Session
We were very lucky to catch one of the last of the snow-free fall days this year for this shoot on Sept 17th 2018. It was chilly (actually quite a bit colder than it looks) but they were troopers and we got some magical moments as our reward.
I drove out to Sydney's family farm just outside Lacombe, which is also where they will be having their wedding. I grew up in the country myself so the views are always worth that extra distance to me. It is an absolutely stunning piece of land with the classic Alberta mix of open grain fields, ever-green trees, leafy deciduous trees with their leaves all golden and even horses in the pasture. You couldn't have asked for more in a shooting location.
About half way through our shoot they take me to the most romantic, totally hidden, secret garden path that separated the main property from the neighbouring farmers field. If no one showed you, you'd never know it was there.
These two are the most organized bride and groom I have met to date already got me booked for their 2020 wedding! But, don't let that make you think they might be high strung, no way Sydney and Cory and organized and awesome. Seriously, these two are a blast!
Time stands still
Beauty in all she is
I will be brave
I will not let anything take away
What's standing in front of me
Every hour has come to this
